A guest complains that their room is not ready at check-in. What do you do?
Apologise once, offer a concrete alternative such as the lounge with a beverage, give a firm time, and follow up yourself. Service recovery is scored on whether you own the problem to its end rather than passing the guest along.
What does luxury mean in a hotel?
Anticipation rather than opulence: remembering a preference, solving something the guest has not raised yet. Give an example you have seen or delivered, because the abstract version of this answer is heard constantly.
