A patient's condition deteriorates on your shift. Walk me through what you do.
Assess, call for help early, follow the protocol your unit uses, and document. Say the escalation out loud, because the commonest failure in this answer is a candidate who sounds like they would handle it alone.
How do you handle a family member who is angry and blocking care?
Acknowledge, separate the person from the bedside, explain in plain language, and involve the senior on duty when it does not settle. Panels want calm and process, not confrontation.
How do you keep medication administration safe on a busy ward?
The checks you actually perform, what you do when an order looks wrong, and how you handle an interruption mid-round. A specific answer about your own routine beats reciting the rights of medication.
- Have registration details, shift availability and joining date ready. These decide more offers in this vertical than any clinical answer.
- Freshers: your internship postings are your experience. Name the wards, the case mix and what you were allowed to do unsupervised.
- Answer scenario questions with a sequence, since the panel is listening for the order you act in.
