A nursing resume is screened for licence, setting and load before anything else. Which council are you registered with, what kind of ward have you run, and how many patients at once? Warmth and dedication are assumed; specifics are not.

- Leaving the registration number off. It is the first thing checked and its absence stalls the file.
- Describing duties every nurse performs without naming the setting. ICU experience and general ward experience are not interchangeable.
- Letting BLS or ACLS lapse and listing it anyway. Dates are verified.

List the settings, not every rotation. A screener wants to know you have run an ICU, not that you spent three weeks there as a student.
How do I show experience if I am a fresher?
Lead with your clinical postings during training — the ward type, the duration, the supervising institution. That is real bedside exposure and it is what you have.
Does the nurse-to-patient ratio really matter?
Yes. It is the clearest single indicator of the load you can carry, and hospitals hire against their own ratios.
