Accenture interview questions
Accenture's process puts unusual weight on communication. The spoken-English assessment is automated, done alone with a microphone, and catches candidates who prepared only for the technical rounds.

Cognitive and technical assessment
Sectional, timed
English, analytical reasoning, abstract reasoning, plus a technical section on fundamentals.
Coding assessment
Two problems
Standard data-structure problems. Partial credit is usually available, so submit working partial solutions.
Communication assessment
Automated spoken English, recorded
Pronunciation, fluency and sentence construction. Practise by speaking aloud, because reading silently will not prepare you for this.

Project, fundamentals, cloud awareness, fit.
What is cloud computing, and what are IaaS, PaaS and SaaS?
Accenture asks this more than most. Define each and give a named example of each. The examples are what make it sound like knowledge rather than recall.
Explain your project and the technologies in it.
Be ready for a follow-up on why you chose each technology. "It was in the syllabus" is a weak answer; a trade-off is a strong one.
What is an exception, and how do you handle one?
Checked versus unchecked in your language, try-catch-finally, and why swallowing an exception silently is a bug rather than a fix.
Basic SQL: find the second-highest salary.
Know at least two approaches (a subquery and a window function) and be able to say which you'd use and why.
Why consulting rather than a pure product company?
Exposure to many domains and clients is the honest, correct answer. Say what specifically appeals about breadth.
How do you handle working with a client in a different time zone?
Acknowledge the overlap problem and describe how you would handle handoffs. This is a genuine part of the job, so answer it straight.
Tell me about yourself.
Ninety seconds: what you studied, what you've built, what you want next. Rehearse it. This is the round where a rambling answer costs the most.
- Practise the communication round out loud, into a recording, and listen back. Reading silently does not prepare you for it.
- Cloud fundamentals come up disproportionately often. A weekend on the basics of one provider is high-return preparation here.
