Resume Format for MBA Candidates
MBA resumes are read by people who screen hundreds at a time against a narrow bar: scale, impact and progression. The format is near-standardised, and deviating from it costs you more than it gains.

Quantify everything in business terms
Revenue moved, cost saved, headcount managed, market share gained, percentage improved. An MBA resume without numbers is read as someone who was never close to the outcome.
Show how you progressed across roles
Promotions, scope increases and expanding team size are the signal recruiters look for. Make the trajectory visible by listing roles at the same company as separate entries.
One page, no exceptions
Most schools and recruiters mandate it. If your pre-MBA experience doesn't fit, cut the earliest role rather than shrinking the margins to squeeze it in.
Keep the additional-information line
Languages, unusual interests, volunteering. It's the standard interview icebreaker, and one of the few places an MBA resume gets to be memorable.

Score my resume freeHow long should an MBA resume be?
One page. This is enforced by most business schools and expected by consulting and finance recruiters.
Should I list my undergraduate degree?
Yes, in the education section under your MBA, with institute and year. Include your undergraduate score only if it is strong.
How do I present a career switch?
Lead the summary with transferable, quantified outcomes rather than the job titles themselves, and let the MBA explain the pivot.
